- Draw a right angle. Mark half the small OD both ways from the apex, and half the large OD both ways.
- Set dividers across the two small marks () and scribe a circle from the apex. Do the same across the large marks ().
- Add ¾" to the outer circle and take ¾" off the inner circle for notches or crimp.
- Add 1½" past the right angle along the outer circle and draw a line to the apex for the lap. Add ⅜" on the other side of the right angle for a safety edge.
- Cut out the ring with the right angle removed. Roll it slightly, notch or crimp the outside edge, and install to shed water.
